Scaia Corvina is a fresh and vibrant expression of one of Italy’s most beloved indigenous grapes, Corvina. Hailing from the Veneto region in northern Italy, Corvina is most famously used as a key component in the production of Valpolicella and Amarone wines. However, Scaia Corvina, produced by the Tenuta Sant’Antonio winery, showcases this grape in a more modern and innovative style, offering wine lovers a single-varietal experience that highlights the grape’s bright fruit and refreshing profile.
In Veneto dialect, the word “scaia” means a chip of stone, chalk, limestone: it is a tribute to their soil, where a line of unique young wines is produced
Bright ruby red, on the nose it recalls a floral texture of red rose and violet, with a fruity counterpoint of cherries, plum, blackberries and raspberries, red and black currant. Well balanced between flavor and freshness, it has an intense sip and a good body despite its graceful youth.
Pairs wonderfully with classic Italian Dishes, such as tomato-based pasta dishes, pizzas, cured meats, grilled vegetables or light cheeses
