Zolla Salice Salentino

Fantini’s Puglia venture is part of their diverse portfolio, which also includes Gran Sasso, Zabù, Vesevo, Tufarello, and more. The wines are produced at two wineries located in the province of Taranto, on the western edge of Salento.
The style is consistent with Fantini’s other offerings: fresh, vibrant whites and soft, generous reds. This signature approach is led by winemaker Filippo Baccalaro, a Piemonte native with nearly two decades of experience in Puglia. Drawn by the region’s rich, ripe fruit flavours, Filippo has mastered the art of showcasing these characteristics with minimal reliance on technology, relying instead on extensive expertise and hands-on craftsmanship.

The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being matured in seasoned American and French oak barriques for approximately 8 to 10 months.

This wine is a blend of 80% Negroamaro and 20% Malvasia Nera. It is intense ruby red in colour. On the nose, the cherry aromas are pronounced and married with notes of prune, pomegranate, clove and dried herbs. A full-bodied warm and delicious wine with a pleasantly fresh and long finish.
