Two Paddocks was established by acclaimed New Zealand actor Sam Neill in 1993 with a simple ambition: to produce exceptional Pinot Noir from the dramatic landscapes of Central Otago. Today, the estate comprises four organically farmed vineyards across Gibbston, Alexandra and Bannockburn, each contributing its own character to the wines. Known globally for his roles in Jurassic Park, The Piano and Peaky Blinders, Sam Neill has quietly earned equal respect in the wine world. Winemaker Dean Shaw follows a minimal-intervention philosophy, allowing the fruit to speak for itself. Grapes are hand-picked from organically farmed vineyards before being gently fermented with indigenous yeasts. Careful extraction and restrained maturation in French oak preserve the wine’s bright fruit, silky texture and freshness, resulting in a Pinot Noir that is approachable, expressive and unmistakably Central Otago.

Rather than relying on power, Picnic delights with its purity and effortless drinkability. Bursting with juicy red cherries, crushed raspberries and fresh strawberries, it is lifted by delicate floral aromas and a hint of orange peel.
