Adegas Valmiñor, founded in 1997 by Carlos Gómez Davila, a native of Galicia, is located in the unique sub-region of O Rosal within the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin. Nestled near the Miño River where it meets the Atlantic Ocean, this Celtic-influenced area is steeped in tradition and natural beauty. The winery prides itself on being ambitious and innovative while staying true to its roots and environment. Their logo reflects this connection, featuring Celtic symbols for air, water, earth, and sun—essential elements for their vineyards and wines.

Situated in the O Rosal valley of Southern Galicia, just across the border from Portugal, Adegas Valmiñor benefits from a mild climate, abundant rainfall, Atlantic and river influences, and mineral-rich soils that create ideal conditions for growing Albariño. Combining traditional winemaking with modern technology, the winery crafts innovative, quality wines that truly reflect their distinctive terroir.

Most of the fruit for this Albariño comes from Condado do Tea, further east along the Miño River. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected, then gently pressed without skin contact. The juice ferments in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures to maintain freshness and preserve the wine’s vibrant aromas.

This wine offers bright notes of ripe peach and citrus on the nose, with apricot, melon, and fresh lime flavors on the palate, delivering a classic, crisp, and refreshing Albariño with good length and balance.

It pairs perfectly with fish tacos or a light summer salad featuring burrata or goat’s cheese.
