Description
The Clarksburg AVA (American Viticulture Area) is an up and coming wine region located in California’s Sacramento Delta. Much like Napa Valley just 20 miles to the West, considerable temperature fluctuations-cool nights and hot days-make Clarksburg perfectly suited for growing premium wine grapes, however land is considerably cheaper and therefore wines from Clarksburg offer outstanding value for money. The 2014 Pinot Noir has a warm and inviting bouquet, aromas of wild cherry, raspberry and toasted cedar lift out of the glass. It’s an elegant wine with silky texture and crisp acidity typical of grapes grown in cool-climate regions. Enjoy with Seared Duck Breast with Duck Rillets and spiced plum sauce.
