Description
Nero d’Avola is a very dark varietal which is native to Sicily. The grapes for this wine have been made in the appassimento style (drying of the grapes) It has an intense perfume of balsamic notes and dried fruits, such as red currants and prunes. In addition there are significant, spicy aspects. It is very concentrated and rich, but with enough acidity in order not to let it taste jammy and dull
