The Montecorna was produced by using the traditional ‘ripasso’ method of re-fermenting the pressed Amarone skins along with the must. This process enhances the body of the wine while increasing the alcohol and flavour profile. Notes of vanilla, black cherry and roasted coffee leap from the glass, while on the palate the Montecorna is full and round with good structure. The concentrated yet elegant fruit is in balance with the alcohol and tannins. The finish reveals layers of spicy complexities and the acidity keeps everything fresh and clean. Enjoy with Roast Lamb with garlic and rosemary.
