86% cool climate Syrah with a dash of Grenache and other Rhone grapes produced along the Central Coast of Santa Barbara. The wine has been aged for 16 months in French Burgundy barrels with 15% seeing new oak. A concentrated and opulent purple colour in the glass leading into fresh aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant with secondary notes of coffee and toast. The savoury palate offers up a smoky and spicy character with lively acidity and a long finish. 14% ABV.
