Bodegas Piqueras has been family-owned and operated since 1915, with four generations working to craft expressive wines that reflect their land in Almansa D.O. Situated on a high plateau in southeastern Castilla-La Mancha, the region’s poor soils and dry, continental climate yield grapes of intense flavour and aromatic richness.

The Piqueras approach blends tradition with modernity—state-of-the-art equipment meets deep, intuitive vineyard knowledge passed down from founder Luis Piqueras López. His grandson, Mario Bonete, married into the family and played a key role in establishing the Almansa D.O., serving as its first president. Today, Bodegas Piqueras remains committed to sustainable, quality-driven winemaking, continuing its legacy with both pride and innovation.

The equipment at Bodegas Piqueras is state-of-the-art, optimising the processes of harvesting, pressing, filtering, bottling and labelling.

Carefully selected organically grown Verdejo (60%) and Sauvignon Blanc (40%) sourced from the coolest high altitude vines, harvested at night and then fermented at low temperature with several months on the lees and regular bâtonnage for texture and a pleasant mouthfeel.

This crisp white blend delivers intense citrus, lime and tropical fruit notes. The finish is bright and persistent, balanced by a pleasant mouthfeel and texture from the lees ageing.
