Vinified from a majority of Meunier, the preferred grape variety of the Marne Valley, Cuvée 204 is a true terroir wine (50% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir). A well balanced, complex and rounded Champagne.
Established in the 1960’s at Chateau Thierry by the marriage of Robert Lété and Liliane Vautrain, Champagne Lete Vautrain is a small, 8 hectare Recoltant-Manipulant, meaning they own all of their own vineyards and have complete control of the growing and winemaking process from start to finish.
The grapes for the Lete Vautrain Brut 204 are harvested by hand and sorted prior to fermentation at a cool temperature, and ageing on lees takes place for a minimum of 36 months.
The translucent, deep golden hue of the Champagne Lété-Vautrain Brut 204 gives way to initial aromas that are elegant and pure. These are subsequently complemented by succulent notes of apple, peach and apricot. In the mouth, this very well-balanced champagne is complex and round. The after taste is long, with hints of dried fruits.
Perfect as an aperitif and to accompany all your barbecue evenings, planchas and brunches.
