This New Zealand Pinot Noir from the Marlborough region has been made using estate fruit from Lawson’s Waihopai vineyard and adjacent Barnsley block due to the depth and finesse shown in the parcels produced. Fermentation and maturation has taken place in a mixture of new (25%) and seasonal French oak barriques. The resulting wine is opulent with juicy red and dark fruit intertwined with subtle savoury forest floor and toasted oak aromas. In the mouth, the wine is silky smooth and textural with a light-medium body, fine, ripe tannins and lively acidity to compliment the beautiful fruit, pepper and mushroom flavours. 13.5% ABV, 75cl bottle.
