Joseph Phelps Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a landmark expression of Napa Valley’s pioneering Bordeaux-style blend, first released in 1974 by visionary founder Joseph Phelps. Estate-grown across the family’s Napa Valley vineyards, it continues a legacy of extraordinary quality that has defined the wine for nearly five decades.

The 2018 is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend with smaller portions of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak.

It opens with beautifully perfumed floral, dark fruit, anise and cigar box aromatics. A wine of depth, elegance and finesse, the palate is fresh and focused with creamy texture and layers of blackberry, mocha and black cherry. Seamless tannins and balance lead to an uplifting, lengthy finish with soft black pepper, rosebud and a saline twist.
