The Hinch Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a smooth and full-flavoured expression from Hinch Distillery Co., located just south of Belfast on the scenic Killaney Estate. Named after the nearby town of Ballynahinch—meaning “town of the island” in Irish—the distillery blends craft tradition with innovation, aiming to carve a distinct identity within the Irish whiskey category.

This single malt is matured in a combination of premium ex-Bourbon American oak and Oloroso Sherry casks, carefully selected by the Head Distiller to impart richness and balance. The result is a refined whiskey that harmonises vibrant fruit, gentle spice, and rounded sweetness.

On the nose, candied orange peel opens first, followed by warm, spicy notes of ginger. Honeyed sweetness weaves through the citrus and spice, adding depth and softness. The palate delivers caramelised sugar with a crisp orchard fruit bite, reminiscent of toffee apples and peach syrup. A base of buttery biscuit enriches the full-bodied mouthfeel.

The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of citrus and honey coating the tongue and gently inviting the next sip.
