Copeland 25.4 Double Distilled Pot Still Irish Whiskey marks a significant milestone as the distillery’s first batch release of double distilled Pot Still whiskey. Crafted with equal parts malted and unmalted barley, this traditional mash bill delivers a silky yet characterful spirit, combining creamy texture with a vibrant, spicy backbone.

Distilled twice in Copeland’s copper pot stills and matured for 5 years, 25.4 begins its journey in a first-fill American Bourbon cask for 4 years and 8 months. This initial maturation imparts layers of vanilla sweetness, toasted oak and soft caramel, forming a warm and inviting foundation.

To build further depth and individuality, the whiskey is then finished for 4 months in an ex-California Pinot Noir cask. This finishing cask brings an elegant lift of dried berries, gentle liquorice tones and nuanced spice, enriching the natural character of the Pot Still style while adding a smooth, mouth-coating richness.

On the nose, 25.4 opens with sweet vanilla and soft oak, complemented by light orchard fruit and a subtle hint of warm spice. The palate is rounded and textured, offering creamy malt, toasted oak, red berry notes and a touch of liquorice. Spice builds gently, carried by the unmalted barley’s signature character.
The finish is smooth, warming and medium-long, leaving impressions of soft fruit, gentle spice and lingering oak sweetness.
