This is one interesting white Bordeaux with a 70/30 sauvignon/semillon blend which has spent 8 months in oak barrels whilst being stirred on the lees. It has such good depth of character with many subtle and upfront layers. The ideal temperature for this wine to be served is 11 degrees as any colder would mask many of its subtleties. It dominates the nose with fleshy white fruits and soft citrus aromas. Due to the 47 year old vines being in gravel soils there is a flint or wet pebble nuance with lemon juice coming through. Its very intense and has a very long finish with good aging capabilities.
