Château de l’Escarelle is one of Provence’s most prestigious estates, with 100 hectares of organically certified vineyards nestled within 1,000 hectares of untouched woodland. Situated in the heart of Provence, the estate combines exceptional natural beauty with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. In 2016, it earned France’s highest level of environmental certification (HVE Level 3), recognising its dedication to biodiversity, minimal chemical use, and sustainable farming.

Vines are planted at elevations of up to 500 metres on clay-limestone slopes of the Montagne de La Loube, benefiting from cool nights and the refreshing Mistral wind. These growing conditions result in a longer ripening season and contribute to the refinement and elegance of the wines. The ‘Les Deux Anges’ cuvée is made from a blend of Syrah (60%) Grenache (20%), and Cinsault (20%) — harvested by hand and sorted meticulously. Fermentation is carefully temperature-controlled to preserve delicate aromas, and the wine is aged on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity.

The wine is subtle and elegant, with aromas of wild strawberry and citrus blossom. On the palate, it is clean and fresh, with beautiful smoothness and notes of mango, pomelo, and a hint of spice. The finish is dry and crisp, with a refined mineral edge.

Perfect as an aperitif or paired with Provençal cuisine, grilled fish, shellfish, or light Mediterranean dishes.
