This wine although only 12.5% still packs a massive punch. It should be coming into its own now and ready after around 45 minutes decanting time. It will display what a Pauillac fanatic would characterize as perfect pedigree with a typical pencil shaving aroma with a robust cassis note. The 70/30 cabernet sauvignon and merlot blend lends itself to spice, cedar and tabacco layers. There is a long finish with grippy tannin, a perfect wine for traditional French fayre.
