Château de Tracy, Pouilly-Fumé

Château de Tracy has been run by the same family since the 14th century. Records of the property go back to 1396 when “Les Champs de Crix” vineyard was purchased. Nowadays, this particular vineyard is still planted with Sauvignon and is still a “key part” of the Domaine.

Château de Tracy employs sustainable viticulture to ensure the health of its vineyards and the surrounding environment. Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted to ensure only the finest fruit is used. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the purity of flavour and aromatic precision. A portion of the wine may see brief aging on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity.

For over twelve years, reasoned cultivation practices have been implemented to create a wine-growing system that respects the environment. Grass is managed through ploughing, and the use of butterfly lures helps to minimize the need for chemical treatments. This commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture was recognized in 2014 with the award of the Haute Valeur Environnementale Certification.

This is a classic Pouilly-Fumé, elegant notes of citrus fruits, minerals and hints of exotic fruits. Subtle and aromatic with lovely concentration. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with ripe fruits and a fresh acidity

This Pouilly-Fumé pairs beautifully with seafood, such as oysters, scallops, and grilled fish. It also complements goat cheese, light salads, and dishes with citrus-based sauces.
