Château Buisson-Redon Sauvignon Blanc

Château Buisson-Redon is part of the historic Fronsac estate, which has been in the Sèze family for nearly a century. Located on gently sloping clay-loam soils, the vineyard focuses mainly on Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with careful yield management to enhance grape concentration and wine intensity. The estate’s tradition of quality has grown under the stewardship of Roger and Bertrand Sèze, who have expanded the vineyards while maintaining a commitment to sustainable practices.

The château employs permanent grass cover between vine rows to reduce herbicide use and soil compaction, limiting tractor passes. This method also encourages competition for water and nutrients, naturally controlling vine vigour, lowering yields, and concentrating flavours. Château Buisson-Redon holds HVE 3 accreditation, reflecting its dedication to biodiversity, plant protection, and responsible resource management.

This Sauvignon Blanc is produced with a focus on expressing freshness and purity. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified to preserve the wine’s natural acidity and vibrant fruit character, resulting in a crisp, clean white wine typical of Bordeaux’s lighter style.

The wine is light and refreshing, offering bright citrus aromas and flavours. Its lively acidity and clean finish make it an easy-drinking, versatile white that pairs well with a variety of dishes.

It complements fresh goat cheese salads, grilled seafood like prawns or scallops, and lightly seasoned poultry. It also works well with creamy sauces, such as those served with chicken in white wine sauce or spring vegetable risotto.sust
