Casamigos Joven Mezcal is a beautifully crafted spirit produced in Oaxaca, Mexico by a fourth-generation family of mezcaleros. Using 100% Espadín agaves grown in the rich soils of the region, each bottle is hand-crafted through a traditional process that ensures no two are ever exactly alike. The artisanal method involves slow-cooking the harvested piñas for four to six days in earthen pits lined with volcanic or river rock, imparting a deep, authentic character to the spirit. Once cooled for 24 hours, the agave is crushed with a traditional Tahona wheel before fermenting for six to eight days, depending on the season. The liquid is then twice-distilled in covered copper pot stills, carefully removing impurities while preserving the mezcal’s bold essence.
