Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is the signature expression of the distillery’s core range—a classic Islay single malt that defies expectations. Unpeated, non-chill filtered, and natural in colour, it showcases a unique coastal character, shaped by bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at 46.3% ABV.

Fresh and aromatic on the nose, with floral notes, ripe fruit, and subtle hints of dried fruit.

The palate is light yet rich—layers of sweet fruit, toasted nuts, and soft vanilla meet delicate traces of caramel.

The finish is long and full-bodied, with a gentle touch of sea salt lingering at the edges.

Unlike many of its neighbours, Bunnahabhain forgoes peat in favour of balance, elegance, and complexity. Its tall, pear-shaped stills encourage a lighter spirit, while its remote coastal location imparts a quiet maritime influence. First launched as part of the core range, this 12 year old remains a true expression of the distillery’s uncompromising character.
