Bigi Orvieto Classico Secco

Bigi Orvieto Classico Secco is a white wine produced in the Umbria region of Italy. It is made from a blend of Grechetto, Procanico, Verdello, Drupeggio, and Malvasia grapes, which are carefully selected and harvested from the vineyards of the Orvieto Classico appellation.

The Orvieto Classico appellation is located in the province of Terni, and its vineyards are situated on the hills surrounding the medieval town of Orvieto. The area has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the Etruscan era, and its unique terroir is ideal for growing the grapes used in Bigi Orvieto Classico Secco.

The wine is produced by the Bigi winery, which was founded in 1880 by Luigi Bigi. Today, the winery is run by the fourth generation of the Bigi family and is known for its commitment to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique character of the Umbria region.

Bigi Orvieto Classico Secco is a dry white wine that is pale straw in colour. On the nose, it has a delicate bouquet of white flowers, citrus, and herbs. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing, with flavours of lemon, green apple, and a hint of minerality. The wine has a medium body with balanced acidity, making it an excellent choice to pair with a wide range of dishes, including seafood, pasta, and risotto.
