Bellevue Sauvignon Blanc

Bellevue Estate is a family-run farm with deep roots in South Africa’s wine heritage. Known for its pioneering spirit, the estate rose to prominence in the 1950s when P.K. Morkel boldly planted Pinotage on a commercial scale—helping to establish the variety as a national icon. Today, Bellevue remains dedicated to innovation and quality, with the same forward-thinking philosophy guiding every vintage.

This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from two of Bellevue’s highest vineyard slopes, planted in 1997 and 1998. One faces south, the other southwest, both cooled by crisp Atlantic Ocean breezes from nearby False Bay. One of the sites is dryland farmed, yielding fruit with exceptional concentration and character.

Made with minimal intervention, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and left on fine lees to develop texture and complexity before filtration and bottling. This approach preserves the purity of the fruit while adding a subtle depth to the final wine.

On the nose, it bursts with tropical aromas of pineapple, granadilla and litchi. The palate is bright and zesty, with notes of green apple and blackcurrant, finishing with a clean, refreshing lift. A vibrant, expressive wine ideal for sunny afternoons and casual outdoor dining.

Perfectly suited to fresh seafood, crisp salads, or light Mediterranean fare, this Sauvignon Blanc is a go-to choice for warm-weather enjoyment.
