Emiliana is one of Chile’s most exciting producers and pioneers in organic and biodynamic winemaking. Since 1998, this Chilean winery has crafted award-winning wines from nearly 1,000 hectares of vineyards in prime regions including Casablanca, Maipo, Cachapoal, Colchagua, and Bio Bio. Its spectacular biodynamic vineyard and winery at Los Robles serve as a model that attracts viticulturalists and winemakers from around the world. Emiliana’s innovative, natural-leaning wines are made with great care and attention, producing inspiring results.
Emiliana is the first Chilean company to achieve Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC®) status, representing the highest standard in sustainable agriculture globally, focusing on healthy soils, animal welfare, and worker dignity. In January 2023, they earned B Corp Certification, recognising their outstanding social, environmental, and economic impact. The winery began converting to organic production in 1998 and now manages 100% of its vineyards organically. Emiliana was also Latin America’s first winery to produce biodynamic-certified wines, with all their wines certified vegan as well.
The Adobe line represents Emiliana’s organic reserve wines, showcasing the highest vineyard quality and a profound respect for the environment and workers. The Gewürztraminer undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at carefully controlled temperatures with gentle aeration and lees stirring to develop desired complexity. The wine is fined with bentonite and cold-stabilised before bottling to avoid tartaric precipitations.
This Gewürztraminer bursts with aromatic notes of lychee and jasmine. The palate is fruit-driven with vibrant flavours of citrus peel, lemongrass, apricot, and mandarin orange, balanced by a crisp, refreshing acidity that lingers on the finish. It’s a classic varietal expression filled with joyful New World character.
It pairs beautifully with sushi, sashimi, and ginger, which complements the wasabi heat. It’s also excellent alongside Thai dishes, especially dry fried prawn curries.
