Demarie Barolo

Demarie is a family-run winery based in the heart of Piedmont’s Roero region, where generations of the Demarie family have been dedicated to producing wines that express the character and tradition of their native landscape. Combining respect for local winemaking heritage with modern precision, the estate focuses on showcasing Piedmont’s most celebrated grape varieties through wines of authenticity, balance and longevity.

Barolo DOCG is produced exclusively from Nebbiolo, one of Italy’s most noble and demanding grape varieties. Sourced from the rolling hills south-west of Alba, where calcareous soils and favourable hillside exposures provide ideal growing conditions, the wine undergoes traditional vinification followed by extended ageing in large oak barrels and further bottle maturation. This patient approach allows the complexity and structure of Nebbiolo to fully develop, creating a wine capable of ageing gracefully for many years.

Deep garnet red in colour, developing characteristic orange reflections with age, the nose is intense and highly complex, revealing aromas of violet, dried rose petals and subtle vanilla. The palate is dry, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with layers of ripe red fruit, savoury spice and refined tannins leading to a long, elegant finish. Powerful yet harmonious, it captures the grandeur and timeless appeal that has earned Barolo its reputation as the “King of Wines”.

A classic partner for rich pasta dishes, braised and roasted red meats, game and mature cheeses. Decanting before serving will allow its aromatic complexity and structure to fully express themselves.
