Peter Lehmann Wines is one of the most established family-owned wineries in the Barossa Valley. Founded during the grape surplus crisis of the late 1970s, Peter Lehmann built the winery on a promise to protect local growers’ livelihoods — a handshake agreement that became the foundation of a wine legacy. Today, the winery maintains strong relationships with the same community of growers, giving its winemakers unrivalled access to premium fruit from across the Barossa.
This commitment to quality and community extends to sustainable farming and careful winemaking. Fruit for the Hill & Valley range is sourced from a mix of cooler-climate sites in the Adelaide Hills, the elevated Eden Valley, and warmer plots on the Barossa Valley floor. Each parcel is handled with minimal intervention to preserve the natural identity of the vineyards.
Made with 100% Chardonnay, this wine undergoes fermentation and partial oak maturation to add depth without overpowering freshness. The result is a poised and expressive white with regional character.
Expect aromas of melon and nectarine with a subtle lift of toasted almond and charred oak. The palate is medium-bodied and layered with citrus, grapefruit and gentle vanilla from time in barrel.
Pair with grilled chicken, creamy seafood dishes or pumpkin risotto.
