Ponte da Boga is a winery defined by heritage, landscape, and the spirit of renewal. Founded in 1898 in Castro Caldelas, it was the first in Ribeira Sacra to bottle and sell wine from its own vineyards—set along the River Edo, a tributary of the Sil. In 2006, the Rivera family, moved by a deep respect for the region, took over the estate and began restoring its historic vines, breathing new life into a landscape unlike any other. Here, viticulture is truly heroic: steep, terraced slopes plunge into river canyons, and every grape must be harvested by hand—sometimes with harnesses, sometimes by boat. This extreme labour reflects the dedication behind each bottle
A is for Albariño—and for Adaptation. This wine is a tribute to the harmony between grape and land, shaped by the unique microclimate of a special plot: O Condiño. Here, in the Ribeira Sacra, Albariño takes on a new personality—fresh, complex, and full of surprises.
Grown in an Atlantic climate with a continental influence, this 100% Albariño expresses both precision and character. After a cold maceration, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented primarily in stainless steel tanks, with a small portion aged in oak barrels for added depth. The wine is then aged on its lees in steel for five months to enhance mouthfeel and complexity.
On the nose, it offers a layered and aromatic profile—lime, lemon marmalade, apricot, rose and lavender, with a subtle smoky edge. The palate bursts with vibrant citrus flavours: lemon, nectarine, and grapefruit, balanced by a bright acidity and a smooth, textured finish.
Perfect with white meats, crustaceans, delicate white fish, or sushi—its vibrant acidity and aromatic lift complement fine, fresh flavours beautifully.
